Recipe: how to cook Chinese food, You Cha (Sweet Fried Flour with Nuts)
You Cha is a Chinese speciality snack. The main ingredient is flour, with sugar, dried fruit and nuts, such as sesame, peanuts, raisin and so on. Some people have it for breakfast because it is healthy and prepared easily.
INGREDIENTS:
- 300g flour
- 2 tablespoon oil
- Cooked sesame
- Chopped cooked nuts
- Walnut (optional)
- Raisin (optional)
- Sugar (white or brown)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: put sieved flour into dry unstick pot, keep stirring over low heat until it turns to light yellow colour.
Step 2: add 1 tablespoon oil and stir. add 1 more tablespoon oil after stirring well. then keep stirring.
Step 3: put sesame. then turn off the heat after stirring for 5 minutes.
Step 4: mix other nuts and dried fruits.
Step 5: transfer out and cool it down.
Step 6: keep in a storage jar.
Step 7: put sugar and hot water. mix well. adjust thick as you prefer. DONE❕
