Recipe: how to cook Chinese food, Steamed Scallop with Minced Garlic and Glass Noodles

Steamed Scallop with Minced Garlic and Glass Noodles is a classic dish of Guangdong Province. It is a Cantonese steamed seafood dish. It is rich in nutrients, high in protein and low in fat. It is also good for calcium and iron supplementation. Mung bean vermicelli has the effect of clearing away heat and detoxifying. It is suitable for summer.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 10 scallop
  • 100g glass noodles
  • 12 cloves garlic
  • 8 salt
  • 20g seasoned soy sauce for seafood or 1 fish sauce: 1 soy sauce: 5 water mixture
  • 2 tablespoon cooking wine or baijiu
  • 1 chili pepper
  • 1 spring onion

INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1: remove the scallop from the shell and clean it. remove the black parts.

Step 2: brush the shell.

Step 3: drain the water and pour the cooking wine or baijiu.

Step 4: minced the garlic. put the ¾ minced garlic into oil and fry over low heat to golden colour.

Step 5: mix well the fried garlic, ½ fried garlic oil and fresh minced garlic.

Step 6: add seasoned soy sauce for seafood and ½ salt.

Step 7: soak the glass noodle to soft and cut into three segments.

Step 8: put glass noodles into boiling water for 2 minutes.

Step 9: drain the water, add the rest salt and fried garlic oil. mix well

Step 10: put the glass noodles on the shell, then put the scallop on top.

Step 11: spread the garlic mixture.

Step 12: steam over high heat for 5 minutes after the water boiling.

Step 13: decorate with spring onion and chilli pepper. DONE❕
