Recipe: how to cook Chinese food, Soy Milk
Soy Milk is a food with Chinese national characteristics, which is traditional Chinese Han drink originated in the Western Han Dynasty and has a history of nearly 2000 years. Soy Milk is rich in nutrition and easy to digest and absorb. In addition to traditional soy milk, there are many flavours of soy milk, red dates, mung beans, black beans, walnuts, etc. can be used as ingredients in soy milk. Soy Milk can be hot and cold, and fresh soy milk can be served for all seasons. Soy Milk can also be used to make Dou Hua. People normally have it as breakfast with Youtiao, Jian Bing Guo Zi (Savory Chinese Crepes), etc.
INGREDIENTS:
- soybean
- water
- sugar (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: wash soybean and soak in water over 2 hours.
Step 2: grind soybean and water in a food processor at high speed.
Step 3: sieve the soy milk. don’t throw away the okara, we could use it to cook the okara pancake.
Step 4: skim the foam.
Step 5: heat and turn off when it is boiling.
Step 6: you could flavour it with sugar or honey. DONE❕
you could use the okara to make the okara pancake or wash face as a scrub.
