Recipe: how to cook Chinese food, Sesame Crunch Candy, Peanut Candy_brittle_snack
Sesame Candy and Peanut Candy are traditional snacks in China, which are loved by people, especially children.
INGREDIENTS:
- 500g sesame (black or white, or both mixture)/550g peanut
- 210g~260g sugar
- 270g maltose
- 30g corn oil
- 100g water
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: stir-fry sesame or roast.
Step 2: heat sugar, water, oil and maltose over medium-low heat in a non-stick pot until sugar melt and the syrup has small foams.
Step 3: heat syrup to 125℃~130℃. drop a little syrup in cold water, pick up after several seconds, it is crispy means the temperature is right.
Step 4: turn off the heat, mix with the sesame fast and evenly.
Step 5: spread with a rolling pin in a mould, take out and cut into blocks when it is hot.
Step 6: cool down.
Step 7: cut into pieces is more crispy.
Step 8: you can cook white sesame or peanut in the same method. DONE❕
