Recipe: how to cook Chinese food, Braised Pork
Braised Pork is a classic traditional Chinese cuisine. Its history can be traced back to the Southern and Northern Dynasties. Braised Pork is widely spread throughout China and is a famous popular dish for all ages. There are twenty or thirty cooking methods.
INGREDIENTS:
- 500g pork belly with skin
- 1 star anise
- 10 Sichuan pepper
- 1 tablespoon Cooking wine
- 1 spring onion
- 4 slices ginger
- 7 rock sugar
- 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 dried chilli
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: cut pork into around 2 cm.
Step 2: prepare other ingredients.
Step 3: put the pork into cold water and add cooking wine.
Step 4: remove the blood foam after boiling. drain and set aside.
Step 5: heat half tablespoon oil over low heat and put the pork.
Step 6: stir-fry until every side of meat turns to golden colour and the fat oil comes out. transfer out and set aside.
Step 7: put oil and rock sugar into the heated pot.
Step 8: stir until the rock sugar melts and turns to an amber colour. turn to low heat.
Step 9: heat until there are some big bubbles. put the pork when the bubbles are small.
Step 10: stir-fry well and colour the pork evenly.
Step 11: put star anise, Sichuan pepper, spring onion, ginger, garlic and dried chilli, and stir.
Step 12: add water and the water is over meat.
Step 13: add soy sauce, dark soy sauce and salt.
Step 14: turn to low heat after boiling.
Step 15: stew until the soup is thick.
Step 16: transfer out and pour the soup evenly over the pork.
Step 17: decorate as you like. DONE❕
